The aim of the opening plenary – Talent without Borders – is to explore the value Different Leaders bring to organisations; identify this leadership talent, locally and internationally; assess how it can be developed, promoted and retained these tough economic times; and examine the strategies Different Leaders are using to for career success, at home and abroad.

Young Different Leaders of Tomorrow
The aim is to develop the leadership knowledge, skills and behaviours of the Young Different Leaders so that they can make a lasting and valuable impact in the 21st century global workplace; and to inform and prepare HR, Talent and Diversity managers for the changes their organisations will have to make to attract, nurture and reap the full benefits of this emerging leadership talent pool.

The Audacity of Authentic Leadership
The aim of this interactive workshop is to motivate and stimulate participants to proactively take a few key steps to have real leadership presence and impact in their organisations. The workshop will stimulate participants thinking about their leadership signature and footprint as Different Leaders, and motivate them to proactively manage their individual leadership presence and impact in the organisation. It will challenge and inspire you to leverage your unique Factor 8 attributes - bicultural competence, cultural capital, presence passion & power, values, self mastery, spiritual belief, multiple perspectives and transformational leadership - to deliver outstanding performance and results.

Repositioning the D&I Agenda
The aim is to examine system wide approaches to create the tipping point for change, strategies for organisations to recession proof their D&I approach, and practical steps to continue to deliver an inclusive workplace, maintain and grow a representative workforce, and get a return on your D&I investments.
Many organisations, with large BAME workforce representation, in both the private and public sector have made significant investments in D&I over the years, with the goal of creating high performing inclusive organisations. The issue they now face is how to sustain their approach to D&I in these harsher economic times, particularly where job cuts have to be made.
Drawing on practical examples from different sectors, this thought provoking workshop challenges the view that exemplary D&I practices are just for the good times, explores the issues that organisations face to sustain their commitment to them, and the steps that can be taken to still deliver the outcome of a diverse & representative workforce and inclusive workplace.
